Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Director Regional Controller to join our European Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial planning process for EU in alignment with corporate objectives and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis over business performance and trends.
  • General Ledger Accounting: Direct functions in EU, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and restructuring provisions.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Oversee company assets and ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial and tax risks and opportunities within EU and present to management.
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and maintain banking relationships to optimize cash utilization and mitigate risks.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the financial planning process for EU in alignment with corporate objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Compliance: Collaborate with corporate tax directors and advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including planning and reporting, in various EU tax regimes.
  • Audits: Provide support and facilitate local and international audit processes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, guide, coach, and support for high performance, and cooperate with corporate, BU, and divisional controllers.
  • Special Projects: Provide information and work on special tasks given by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Financial/Controlling Studies.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting in international production companies.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and experience in US GAAP, EU accounting policies, and regulations; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage international accounting teams remotely; capabilities in Microsoft Office Package and ERP Systems (QAD MFG Pro an advantage).
