Role OverviewThis role involves making JD Group a great place to shop and work by effectively leading and managing your store or defined business area. You will motivate and coach your team to deliver service excellence, with customers at its core, through exceptional store standards and highly engaged colleagues.
Key Duties/Responsibilities- SUPPORT STORE TEAM LEAD: Collaborate with the Store Manager to lead and motivate a high-performing team.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring store teams exceed customer expectations.
- DEVELOP TALENT: Develop store teams through internal development programs, supporting future talent and career pathways to drive business growth.
- STORE OPERATIONS: Uphold a safe and compliant operating environment for all colleagues and customers.
- FINANCIAL RESULTS: Deliver financial results in line with or exceeding company targets.
- ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT DUTIES: Support other retail management duties as required.
- LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills that drive team performance.
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Clear, confident, and motivational communicator with excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of management experience, preferably in a similar retail format.
- PRIORITY MANAGEMENT: Proven ability to effectively prioritize and delegate workload to achieve team goals.
- BUSINESS GROWTH: Experience in successfully promoting and growing a brand or service in the local community.
- CUSTOMER FOCUS: Passion for customer service and proven record of delivering excellence.

- RETAIL KNOWLEDGE: Robust working knowledge of retail KPIs and proven ability to control costs, increase sales, and improve the customer experience.
