Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our team at our manufacturing facility in Dewsbury. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all site production activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and driving a performance-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage site-based team members to achieve site KPIs and improve overall performance
  • Develop and implement a continuous improvement culture to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with the National Operations Manager to implement strategic initiatives and drive business growth
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Develop and implement performance management and development plans for team members

Requirements:

  • Experience of operating in a manufacturing site with responsibility for a team
  • Experience in maximising the potential of others including development and performance management
  • Demonstrable experience of driving and improving site performance
  • Excellent IT skills including MS package including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, both one-to-one and in a group setting
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques 5s, DMAIC would be an advantage
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate desirable
