About Our Special Friends:

Our Special Friends (OSF) is a pioneering charity in West Suffolk dedicated to preserving and providing animal companionship for those in need. They offer volunteer-delivered services, practical advice, and emotional support to individuals struggling to care for their pets or missing the companionship of an animal.

Your Role:

This is a new and exciting opportunity to shape the future fundraising strategy and impact of Our Special Friends. As the Fundraising Lead, you will lead our drive to diversify income streams, build new partnerships, and raise the profile of our work amongst key communities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a new fundraising strategy to identify and secure income streams, including community, corporate, events, individual giving, legacy, and digital income.
  • Build a network of donors, volunteer supporters, and influencers within the local community to generate income and raise our profile.
  • Plan, lead, and report on fundraising events, attending when required as a charity ambassador.
  • Establish strategic, sustainable, and profitable partnerships with funders to create long-term relationships and income streams.
  • Lead systems and processes across fundraising, including due diligence processes and donor management.
  • Ensure regulatory and best practice guidelines are understood and adhered to in all fundraising and public-facing work.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled fundraising professional with a proven track record of success in the charity sector. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders and partners, and a good understanding of what motivates different donors to give to charity.

What We Offer:

Charity People actively promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion, and we match charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates. We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment and offer a range of benefits, including free onsite parking, a dog-friendly office, and a 3% employer pension contribution.
