About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Health. As a Specialist in Adult Mental Health, you will have the opportunity to work with a complex client group in a community rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of the client group
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, advise, and intervene to promote functional communication systems and optimal independence
  • Train others, promote good practice, and maintain a successful total communication environment
  • Participate in visual discharge planning and adopt a humanistic approach
Requirements
  • Experience in mental health and/or inpatient services
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support with an emphasis on person-centred approaches
  • Evidence of being a strong team player with a focus on interdisciplinary working
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexibly whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Innovative, enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate with high regard for professional boundaries
