Project Coordinator Job Description

As a result of our continued success, we are experiencing rapid growth in all business sectors. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Design team, supporting a variety of projects. The successful candidate will assist the Design team in delivering design packages on all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Leader and/or Design Manager in the management of the design process using commercial, contractual, programme / time awareness and technical expertise.

Assist in the identification, scoping and appointment of external consultants and contractors needed for successful project delivery. Once appointed, manage their design delivery to the agreed quality, maintaining pace with project timescales.

Assist in the Town and Country Planning processes.

Assist in planning, chairing and recording meetings. Minuting key progress and decisions, recording actions required proactively pursuing and enabling the design process to reach a conclusion.

Assist the design process in recognising current legislation, standards and codes of practice.

Assist the design team to produce information maintaining pace with project timescales.

Eliminate or reduce health and safety risks in the design.

Eliminate or reduce financial risks during the construction process.

Operate in accordance with Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems and other agreed procedures.

Maintain good relations with internal colleagues, installation and project teams.

Assist in liaising with clients on work-related issues.

Requirements:

Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships.

Excellent communication and people skills

Ideally have a Bachelor's/ Master's degree in an engineering discipline or Construction Management or Architecture.

A can-do attitude and a flair for innovation.

Knowledge of working on construction projects
