Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Manchester Airport Group (MAG). As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a vital role in the provision of commercial, contract formulation/management, procurement and supplier relationship duties for all capital and construction expenditure activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an end-to-end service to client organisations and other business areas as required, ensuring effective contract management and maximising value opportunities through supplier relationships.
  • Take overall responsibility for pre- and post-contract duties related to various aspects of airport maintenance and refurbishment.
  • Deliver procurement and contracts services on various projects within a specific Airport location and across the wider MAG Group as required within the capital and construction category area.
  • Manage MAG framework contractors on a day-to-day basis, ensuring seamless delivery and excellent relationships with stakeholders.
  • Support a Contract Management and Supplier Relationship Management approach across the capital programme to drive best value and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a related field, with a sound knowledge of industry standards and trends.
  • 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record of delivering commercial and contract management services.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn and develop new skills to adapt to changing project requirements.
