About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely cash collection, and maintaining accurate records. With a focus on delivering exceptional results, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to achieve targets and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain company policies on Health and Safety.
  • Manage day-to-day workload and allocate tasks to ensure efficient operation of allocated customer accounts.
  • Daily review of overdue invoices, agreeing on and documenting actions to resolve issues.
  • Review and report on old debits on accounts to minimize aged debt.
  • Achieve cash collection at or ahead of targets by utilizing effective communication skills with customers via email, phone, and letters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to respond to customer queries and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Compile and analyze weekly and monthly reports, providing brief commentaries on key issues and movements.
  • Regularly review credit limits to ensure optimal levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company and Group Credit control processes, including new account creation, credit evaluation, and order processing.
  • Implement credit insurance correctly and report on its effectiveness.
  • Raise manual invoices and credits as required.

Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience working in a credit control team.
  • Institute of Credit Management Qualification (or currently studying for one).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.

Location: Nuneaton

Salary: £16.00 per hour
