Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Ashton Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our client's team in Toomebridge. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to support the processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll for employees across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures and relevant legislation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for employees across the UK and Europe, ensuring accurate PAYE, National Insurance, Pension, Student Loans, Employment Benefits, and Taxes are processed and remitted to the appropriate authorities within set deadlines.
  • Assist in ensuring accurate data entry and promptly address payroll and salary queries.
  • Manage payments to subcontractors under RCT and CIS schemes.
  • Compile aged creditor analysis and support with accruals.
  • Handle administrative tasks for new hires and terminations, including statutory payments, RTI submissions, Pension Deductions, and preparation of P45s, P60s, and other forms.
  • Assist with year-end procedures.
  • Work closely with other departments and colleagues to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a comparable role.
  • Up-to-date understanding of payroll procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, including pivot tables and Macros.
  • Proactive mindset, adaptable to change, and eager to develop innovative work methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines effectively.
Desirable Criteria
  • Proficiency in Brightpay and Sage payroll systems.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Trial Balance.
  • Level 5 qualification in Business Administration, Payroll Management, or a related field.
