About the Role

This is a hybrid position based in St. Albans, where you will have the opportunity to own challenging projects, collaborate with executive leaders and industry partners, and contribute to the overall strategy of the legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on complex commercial law issues, including international contracts, data transfer requirements, and ethics and compliance regulations.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, such as service agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and public-sector framework agreements.
  • Interpreting and advising on EU, UK, Irish, and Swiss laws and regulations.
  • Supporting executive leaders and commercial teams in discussions with external parties, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Providing commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice and services.
  • Researching and anticipating potential legal risks and protecting the company against them.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of legal processes to promote efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • A qualified lawyer with at least 3 years of PQE experience and a strong understanding of commercial law.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably in the pharma or biotech industries.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws relevant to international business transactions involving data transferred within and between European countries, Switzerland, the UK, and/or the USA.
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision and take ownership for advice provided.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Tanner Pharma Group offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including private health insurance, an attractive performance incentive plan, vacation, volunteer, and paid sick leave.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £90,000 - £120,000, depending on experience.
