We are seeking a dedicated Geography teacher for a reputable school in Brent, known for its supportive and inclusive learning environment. As an integral member of the teaching team, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging Geography lessons, aligned with the national curriculum, and contribute to the growth and development of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Delivery: Develop and teach Geography lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, promoting academic and social growth.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
  • Classroom Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging students to reach their full potential.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular activities, promoting a cohesive educational experience.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Professional Development: Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven track record of teaching Geography to primary/secondary school students.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Behaviour Management: Ability to create a positive learning atmosphere and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Professional Growth: Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
