Job Title: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Buildspace Group. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of our projects.

About the Role:

  • Assist and report on all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts.
  • Support the FM low value high volume schemes as well as the larger small works projects, co-ordinating procurement and cost recovery with the operations teams.
  • Regular site visits and liaison with operations teams to ensure all changes and progress are captured and claimed each month.
  • Provide commercial expertise for projects to maximise returns by working within robust procedures to support the Project QS.
  • Produce and process formal documents, certifying the interim/final payments and final subcontract account.
  • Monitor income and expenditure on contracts, e.g., interim/final applications for payment / final accounts / payments for late monies etc., liaising where necessary with the relevant people.

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience as an Intermediate QS with Sub-Contractor project experience.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Commercial Fit Out project experience.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, self-motivated, and proactive commercial awareness and understanding of the construction process.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft packages i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and technologies.
