We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team in Glasgow, Scotland. As a key member of our production platform, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of cloud native computing.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure services using AWS.
  • Collaborate with our GitOps team to ensure seamless deployment and management of our applications.
  • Write clean, well-composed, and tested infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain Kubernetes environments with a focus on container orchestration and observability.
  • Work closely with our SRE team to ensure the reliability and performance of our production platform.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years developing and managing Kubernetes environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in an SRE or Operations role.
  • Personable, approachable, and keen to drive our adoption of newer technologies and techniques.
  • Experience working with GitOps and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Skyscanner is a hybrid working company, and most roles can be either Full Time or Part Time. We believe when people meet regularly in person, we are better able to innovate, learn, collaborate, and inspire. We ask people to be in the office 2 days per week or an average of 8 days per month.

We offer a range of benefits, including medical insurance, headspace subscriptions, a home office allowance, and the option to buy more holiday. You'll have the opportunity to work from any country for 4 weeks a year and 30 days in our other global offices.
