Job Title: School Catering Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at Chartwells, a leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. As a Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of catering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Ensure all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Assist with weekly bookwork, including ordering stock and managing inventory levels.
  • Produce weekly rotas, following the manager's guidelines, to ensure efficient staffing and scheduling.
  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities to team members, promoting a positive and proactive work environment.
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and customers.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations, reporting any incidents or concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment, preferably in the education sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing great customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude and a can-do approach.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
