Aerospace Engineer

GKN Aerospace is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, committed to pushing boundaries and redefining air travel. As a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the integrity of production systems.
The successful candidate will have experience as an Operator or Maintenance Engineering role within a manufacturing environment of CNC milling machines. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential for working with various levels of the business and establishing collaborative relationships across different departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and improving the integrity of production systems through machines, equipment, and processes
- Providing time-planned maintenance activities ranging from aligning and basic fault diagnosis on 5-Axis CNC Machines to working in collaboration with team leaders to ensure all equipment is in top working condition
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and applying the Maintenance Engineering steps of the Global TPM Program to achieve required levels of maturity
- Developing programs to reduce, prevent, or eliminate asset failures and ensuring maintainability of new installations
- Conducting forensic and Root Cause Failure Analysis of asset failures and providing technical advice to the maintenance team
- Establishing a comprehensive lubrication program and performing inspections of adjustments, parts, part replacements, overhauls, etc., for selected equipment
- Maintaining and analyzing equipment data and history records to predict maintenance needs and assessing required maintenance tools and skills for efficient maintenance of equipment
