Financial Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Manager to join our team at National Highways. As a key member of our Business Services directorate, you will be responsible for the management of the Asset Accounting Team and the delivery of statutory financial statements and the annual audit process.

This role requires a lead in the delivery of robust asset valuations, developing and maintaining appropriate financial accounting policies, and ensuring that systems are fit for purpose. You will also be responsible for managing the relationship with our external auditors during the interim and final audits.

To be successful, you will need to have a fully qualified accounting qualification, substantial experience in financial accounting roles, and in-depth knowledge of standard accounting systems. You will also need to have knowledge of government financial reporting requirements.

A bit about us

Our Business Services directorate is responsible for managing the company's £4 billion a year finances, overall governance, assurance and risk management, managing the company's large and dispersed estate, processing damages claims, and the operation of the Dart Charge facility. We make the business work more smoothly and help everyone to do their jobs better.
