About The Role

Currie & Brown is an international leading provider of physical asset management and construction consultancy services. We are seeking a skilled cost management professional to join our team in London. As a cost consultant, you will support our directors in delivering high-quality services to our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, and enhancing our culture of innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients.
  • Deliver projects, commissions, and professional assignments with limited supervision.
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure the successful completion of projects, liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control.
  • Undertake commercial management services with a high level of autonomy.
  • Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Support the project lead or senior cost manager in cost management of projects.
  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships.

Requirements

  • BSc in quantity surveying or an equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
  • A minimum of three years' technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy.
  • Pre- and post-contract experience.
  • Experience in using estimating software, including in connection with Building Information Modelling (BIM).
  • Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute.
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
  • Experience in reporting to external clients.
