About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical direction and leadership for the physiotherapy staff in the hospital. They will work closely with the Clinical Services Manager to ensure excellent patient care and promote a positive working environment within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deputise for the Clinical Services Manager and take an active role in the management and daily running of the physiotherapy department.
  • To provide clinical assessment and treatment in relevant departments, participating in patients' pre-admission and follow-up care where appropriate.
  • To organise inpatient physiotherapy rotas, weekend, and on-call cover ensuring that at all times there is adequate cover within the department.
Requirements
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
  • ITU and ward experience required.
