Job Title: Part-time Cleaning Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and diligent Part-time Cleaning Assistant to join our team at Enva in Colwick, Nottingham. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, including offices, employee areas, and other designated spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general cleaning duties within the offices, employee facilities, fridges, and yard.
  • Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and restroom cleaning).
  • Conduct routine inspection and cleaning activities, ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Execute heavy cleaning tasks and participate in special projects such as painting or preparing facilities for meetings.
  • Notify management promptly of any deficiencies or repair needs identified during cleaning duties.
  • Report all near-misses, incidents, and accidents via the Assure system.
  • Maintain and organise supply rooms.
  • Cooperate effectively with other staff members to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attend any required training courses as necessary.
  • Adhere to the scheduled system of work, maintaining a regular cleaning routine.
  • Replace damaged toilet seats, unclog sinks and toilets, and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Carry out scheduled deep cleaning activities to ensure high hygiene standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Cleaner or in a similar role.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Integrity and reliability in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various tasks as required.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends by prior agreement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail to deliver thorough and precise cleaning work.
  • Enthusiasm for developing skills and expanding knowledge within the role.
  • Adaptability to change, with a willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision while maintaining quality standards.
  • A positive, approachable manner and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
