Cleaning Vocational Tutor

At People Plus, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cleaning Vocational Tutor to join our team in the prison environment. This is a full-time role that involves delivering Bi CS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) training to prisoners, with a focus on providing them with practical cleaning skills, including biohazard handling, to support their employability upon release.

The ideal candidate will have a Bi CS or equivalent cleaning certification, as well as experience in vocational training, teaching, or coaching, especially within correctional or rehabilitative settings. Strong communication, organisation, and adaptability are essential for this role, as you will be working with diverse learners and adapting your teaching methods to meet their individual needs.

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Bi CS cleaning instruction, preparing prisoners for work in hygiene services, while ensuring safety and compliance with COSHH regulations. You will also lead comprehensive training sessions, covering academy policies, safe equipment use, and emergency procedures, and promote literacy and employability skills through integrated reading resources and employability training.

We offer a competitive salary range of £32,000-£34,700 per year, along with a positive and supportive work environment that values equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
