The Cyber, Data & Privacy team at Weightmans is a global leader in incident response, regulatory investigations, and enforcement proceedings. We work with insurers, private corporations, and public sector organisations to deliver exceptional services and strengthen our market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the response to cyber security incidents and data breaches
  • Advise on data protection compliance and privacy issues
  • Support clients in implementing their own cyber security strategies and incident response planning
  • Act as monitoring and coverage counsel for key insurer clients
  • Work with our Cyber Lead to develop and grow our cyber-focused products and services
About You

We are seeking a qualified solicitor with circa 7+ years of PQE experience. You will have a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to different tasks. We require you to have/be:

  • A track record of solid experience in handling a wide range of cyber security and data protection matters
  • Flexible and committed to the demands of working in crisis situations when required
  • Familiarity with the UK cyber insurance market, including knowledge of its reporting arrangements, reserving philosophies, policy coverage, and interpretation
  • Commercially astute and entrepreneurial
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Currently working, or have recently worked, at a recognised practice in this field of work
  • Market contacts with the ability to generate new leads and business (preferred but not essential)
