Job Title: Senior HVAC/LEV Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior HVAC/LEV Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Senior HVAC/LEV Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing design proposals from external contractors and consultants for new and refurbished HVAC and LEV installations to ensure compliance with current legislation, regulations, and site standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review design proposals from external contractors and consultants for new and refurbished HVAC and LEV installations
  • Provide advice/guidance/recommendations to the wider business on HVAC/LEV issues
  • Work with site Engineering Authorities to assess operations on the site and ensure LEV systems are fully compliant with regulations
  • Preparation of technical reports and documentation to support new HVAC and LEV installations on site
  • Define requirements for HVAC and LEV systems in conjunction with end users
  • Support Principal Engineers with the production and update of site engineering standards for HVAC and LEV systems
  • Ensure that all new and modified assets are compliant with relevant current standards and meet stakeholder requirements
  • Assist project teams to review installations and commissioning of new and modified assets where discipline knowledge is required

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND qualified in Building Services Engineering
  • British Occupational Health Society P601 course in LEV or other LEV courses
  • Registered with an engineering professional institute, Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) or IMechE and working towards chartered status
  • Around 5 years Design or installation background in HVAC/LEV related experience with a consultant or contractor

About the Team:

As the Senior HVAC/LEV Engineer, you will be joining a multi-discipline team comprising of suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP) in Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil/Structural disciplines. The main purpose of the team is to set site engineering standards and requirements for equipment/systems/facilities in accordance with legislation and process.
