Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Superintendent to lead our capital projects and electrical asset replacement initiatives across the south. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate our work programme to ensure adequate resources are available and prepare Construction Phase Plans for our sites as per the CDM requirements.
  • Review contractor and sub-contractor RAMS as necessary.
  • Ensure our staff, contractors, and sub-contractors are fully inducted on site, carry out tool box talks, and receive safety documents as necessary.
  • Order minor materials for projects as and when required, including tracking orders and invoices and processing quotations from numerous suppliers.
  • Plan and order welfare as required to ensure our sites have adequate provisions available.

Requirements

  • Experience working in operational electricity substation environments from 11kV - 132kV.
  • Good working knowledge of the Construction and Design Management (CDM) Regulations, especially in representing the Principal Contractor.
  • Formal qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS, first aid at work, EUSR.
  • Formal qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in co-ordinating site teams and proactively supervising site works to ensure excellent standards in Health, Safety, and Quality.
