About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Care Home Administrator to join our team at Office Angels. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our care homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Maintain accurate and complete financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Operations Coordination: Manage rosters, maintain a reliable time and attendance system, and ensure the efficient operation of our care homes.
  • HR Administration: Provide support with HR-related tasks, including processing receipts, preparing financial information, and maintaining staff records.
  • Administrative Support: Offer secretarial support to the Home Manager, including typing, filing, and handling correspondence.
  • Reception Duties: Manage reception duties, including answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, and maintaining a professional image.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage stationery supplies, staff uniforms, and other essential resources.
  • Stock Management: Conduct monthly stock takes and calculate costs to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Banking and Finance: Process banking transactions, including cheques and cash, on a weekly basis.
  • Line Management: Provide supervision and appraisal support to the receptionist, ensuring their development and performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a care home setting is ideal, although we will consider other healthcare backgrounds.
  • CQC Knowledge: Understanding of CQC requirements and regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, with the ability to learn other in-house systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a friendly, confident, and customer-focused approach.
  • Personal Qualities: A genuine interest in working within a caring environment, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Security Clearance: Satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.
