We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Manager to lead our Children and Families Social Care teams or Assessment teams. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our social workers feel supported and empowered to deliver high-quality practice to children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of social workers in responding to, coordinating, and delivering social care services to children, young people, and their families.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and families, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders.
- Provide strong leadership and support to social workers, promoting a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, guidance, and practices, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Collaborate with other teams and services to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Substantial experience as a senior social worker or in a management-level social work role.
- Strong track record of overseeing staff and performance, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Compassion and understanding of the needs of children and families.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary from £48,474 - £50,512.
- A £3,000 annual retention payment.
- Relocation support of up to £8,000.
- 27 days annual leave per year, rising to 32 with 5 years' service.
