About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and competitive estimates for plumbing and heating projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a thorough understanding of project requirements through drawings and client liaison
  • Liaise with other Estimators, Quality Manager, Directors, and Contracts Managers to price tenders and submit associated documentation
  • Perform quantity take-offs and material pricing to accurately estimate project costs
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
  • Present estimates to clients and participate in negotiation discussions as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project-related documentation
  • Stay updated on industry trends and pricing to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
  • Must have estimating experience within the HVAC/plumbing & heating market sector
  • Must have a technical understanding of plumbing and heating systems
  • Ideally familiar with new build contracts
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office) and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Full UK driving license
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
