Overview of the Apprenticeship

Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you will work closely with a qualified professional to acquire the necessary skills and techniques to successfully complete your training. Your tasks will encompass various electrical projects, including residential rewiring, upgrading electrical panels, diagnosing issues, and performing tests. You will also be involved in enhancements such as installing fixtures, switches, and lighting solutions, along with outdoor security lighting. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Important Information

Prior to applying, please confirm your ability to commute to the workplace and the training center as required. This position is a full-time apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, where you will be enrolled in a foundational level 2 apprenticeship program, leading to the following qualifications:
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance and Installation
- Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technology
- Essential Communication Skills
- Essential Application of Number Skills
- Essential Digital Literacy Skills

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

A minimum of a GCSE in Mathematics at grade C or higher is required. Candidates should demonstrate punctuality and flexibility regarding work hours.
It is essential to work collaboratively within a team and to follow instructions diligently while seeking guidance when necessary. Enthusiasm and commitment to both the role and the training are crucial.

Skills Required

Candidates must exhibit punctuality and adaptability in their working hours. A GCSE in Mathematics at grade C or above is mandatory.
Teamwork is essential, along with the ability to adhere to instructions and seek help when needed. A positive attitude and dedication to the apprenticeship and training are highly valued.

Language Proficiency

Welsh Language Skills: Not required
