Job Title: Senior Civil Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Aldwych Consulting Ltd. As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading projects in the office from small to large, designing infrastructure for residential, commercial, education, and industrial sectors, and liaising with statutory bodies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects in the office from small to large.
  • Design infrastructure for residential, commercial, education, and industrial sectors.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies such as Southern Water, Environmental Agency, and County Roads Departments.
  • Be proficient in the use of design software like Microdrainage, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of technical output.
  • Attend design meetings, site meetings, and conduct site inspections.
  • Liaise and lead in a professional manner with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers.
  • Work on projects within agreed project budgetary limits and time tables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE).
  • Varied experience in the use of DCG, SUDS, Micro Drainage, Highways, and Civils 3D design.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills.
