About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who have experienced multiple disadvantage and trauma, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to recover from drug and alcohol dependency.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • To provide one-to-one counselling and group work to support individuals in their recovery journey">
  • To carry out strength-based assessments and work with individuals to create care plans that promote visible recovery">
  • To work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of the therapeutic community">
  • To provide supervision of academic placements to ensure trainees acquire the necessary skills and competencies to contribute effectively to good mental health care">
  • To utilise theory, evidence-based literature, and research to support evidence-based practice in individual work and team collaboration">
  • To play a key role in the promotion of recovery and the creation of a positive and supportive environment for individuals in our care">

About You

">

We are looking for a qualified counsellor with accreditation and experience managing a case load, engaging in partnership working, and delivering CBT-based interventions. You should have good office IT skills and be used to working in the substance misuse field or similar. The ideal candidate will be passionate about recovery and committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for individuals in our care.
