Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including planned and reactive maintenance, to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, utilizing a hands-on approach to resolve breakdowns efficiently.
  • Optimize production processes by collaborating with the production and quality teams to improve machine performance and product quality.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to maximize machinery uptime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and any modifications made to equipment.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automated machinery and control systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering with good knowledge of both disciplines. PLC programming experience is an advantage.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related field. A higher qualification or degree in engineering is desirable.
  • Health & Safety Awareness.
  • Communication skills.
  • Flexibility.
  • Right to work in the UK.
