Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Photographer Specialist Ophthalmology to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our Medical Illustration Services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ophthalmic and clinical services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality ophthalmic and clinical services to patients in a safe and secure environment.
  • Contribute to the development of staff and services through training, quality control, and performance review.
  • Support and help develop a well-established ophthalmic imaging service across NHS Scotland.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive ophthalmic imaging services.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in ophthalmic imaging and clinical photography.
Requirements
  • Education to degree-level in ophthalmic imaging or clinical photography.
  • Full membership of a professional body.
  • Accredited Register for Medical Illustrators (AHCS) registration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based primarily at Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow, but will be required to provide cross-cover clinical services to other sites within NHS Scotland.
