Respiratory Physiology Administrator

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our Respiratory Physiology team at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the team, ensuring the smooth management of patient pathways from referral to discharge.
The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages, and a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation 2016. They will also have experience of handling sensitive information and providing efficient administrative support in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Respiratory Physiology team
- Manage patient pathways from referral to discharge
- Book patients into outpatient diagnostic test appointments
- Work within own capabilities to book patients to the most appropriate appointment slot
Person Specification
- Good general education including English at GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent
- Good standard of spoken English
- Strong IT skills in relation to Microsoft packages
- Knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation 2016
- Working knowledge of the local 'Patient Access Policy'
- Knowledge of medical terminology
