Autism Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and positive Autism Specialist to join our team at a specialist school in Reading. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone seeking experience working in Education, Teaching, or Mental Health.

About the Role

The Autism Specialist will work alongside qualified SEN practitioners and psychologists to provide support to children with Autism, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, and communication difficulties. The role will involve working on a 1:1 and group basis with children aged 3-18, helping them reach Learning Milestones and academic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the well-being of students
  • Collaborate with other SEN practitioners and psychologists
  • Help students reach Learning Milestones and academic objectives
  • Demonstrate interest in working with children or in Mental Health
  • Be enthusiastic, positive, and calm under pressure
Requirements

No experience is required, but recognised qualifications include a Degree, Level 3 qualifications, or any other experience working with SEN children. The position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in an education setting, or for those looking to work in psychology or mental health.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive daily rate of £83-£95, depending on experience, training, qualifications, and client rate. The role is a long-term temporary position with the opportunity for permanent employment. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
