Michael Page (UK) is pleased to be supporting a top 40 accountancy firm in their recruitment of a Trust Manager.
Job Description
This role will involve managing a portfolio of clients relating to trust accounting, tax, and client management for both UK and offshore trusts. The successful candidate will supervise junior staff and support business development in the Trust & Wealth Services Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and finalisation of accounts and tax returns for predominantly UK but also non-UK trusts and charities.
- Assist the Firm's Partners with tax planning and technical advisory projects.
- Serve as the main client contact, ensuring accurate communication and timely delivery of information to clients and partners.
- Supervise and develop junior staff, provide technical guidance, and participate in staff reviews and appraisals.
- Support business development by attending client meetings and networking events.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in trust accounting and all aspects of trust tax for UK and offshore trusts.
- Able to delegate and supervise junior staff.
- Able to work under pressure and in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent IT skills and a desire to continually develop these.
- Able to communicate effectively with contacts in the appropriate medium.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workflow and ensure the timely delivery of client work.
