About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer/Team Leader to join our esteemed drainage infrastructure civils team. As an employee-owned trust, we value employee contributions and offer opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce schematic/concept designs and detailed design of drainage and highways using Civils 3D
  • Undertake drainage and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) designs using Causeway Flow
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports for planning
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals in design development and project management as necessary
  • Mentor and resource junior team members
  • Lead and manage project finances

Main Requirements:

  • Civils 3D or equivalent with drainage networks experience
  • Sustainable drainage systems concept and detailed design experience - essential
  • Highways design - S278/S38 agreements - desirable
  • Mentoring and resourcing junior team members with a proactive approach
  • Line management experience to support team members in their career development
  • Professionally qualified or demonstrably working towards professional qualification
  • Interest in working in a variety of sectors supporting NHS, Department for Education and private sector
  • Liaise with authorities and design team members with problem-solving approach
