Job Title: Junior Solution Architect
Job Description:
Spectrum IT's Birmingham client is seeking a Contract Junior Solution Architect to join their team on an initial 3-6 month contract. The role is deemed Outside IR35 and will be a hybrid working role requiring a minimum of 2 days onsite from the client's Birmingham office.
The Junior Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that are key to delivering a group-wide transformation. You will report into the Enterprise Architect and assist on several large aspects of the project.
Joining at the commencement of a 6-month discovery phase, you will be involved straight away with every functional facet of the business from bricks and mortar business to digital unification.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background and deep understanding of integration patterns, tools, and technologies to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in staging, curating, and augmenting data to help get to true singular viewpoints
- Assist in evaluating and recommending tools, technologies, and approaches to ensure high-quality solutions
- Be prepared to lead as opposed to be led when it comes to interfaces and standards
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements
- ESB, API gateways, middleware
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a technical role or roles with a large technical capacity that have worked on data integration from legacy platforms into modern ERPs
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
- Experience in data extraction/migration strategies with practical involvement
- Experience in designing and creating logical, physical, and integration assets
- Exposure to Microsoft Business central and Azure, Power Apps Power Automate
- Experience in building an interface catalogue and data dictionaries/fact sheets
- Implementation of a Point-of-Sale Platform (beneficial)
- Implementation of a Demand and Forecasting Platform
- Experience of building a modular architecture eliminating P2P interfaces
- Experience in Data extraction and unification - involving Data Lake/Warehouse
- Experience of DevOps CD/CI and modern-day App frameworks
- Background/experience in one of the following disciplines, Networks, Infrastructure, AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP or TOGAF accreditations
