Job Title: Food and Beverage Team Leader

Job Summary:

As a Food and Beverage Team Leader at Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of F & B and Meeting and Events are provided to the agreed standard in a timely manner. You will act as the greatest ambassador to our hotel, playing a fundamental part in the Food and Beverage and Meeting and Events experience of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that the catered event is serviced in the appropriate manner, liaising with the kitchen to make sure guests' expectations are exceeded.
Train and develop the Banquet team.
Ensure that rooms for private dining are set up in a timely manner to the agreed standard as per the BEO or the Client's wishes.
Ensure the stock of china, glass and other inventory is on site, ready for use, and sufficient to meet the demands of the business.
Ensure that the private dining rooms are cleared down immediately after use and set up ready for the next day's business.
Be self-managing in the control and the monitoring of these items to maximise profitability.
Assist in leading, mentoring and training the Food & Beverage Operations team.
Ensure brand standards are maintained.
Liaise with the kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal.
Service oriented with an eye for detail, passion, and innovation for Food & Beverage.
Flexible and able to embrace and respond to change effectively.
Commitment to professional values – brand conscious.
