Enterprise Data Services Manager

Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 12 Months

You will be joining the team at an exciting time for our Enterprise data services and platforms, which form a core pillar of the Aviva organisational strategy.

Working within the IT Data Engineering Platform, you will support enterprise-wide adoption and use of the data applications that form part of our Business Self-Service proposition, ensuring business teams have the tools and services they need to support their data engineering, analytics, and insight activity.

Our Business Self-Service toolset includes Snowflake, DBT, Informatica and Postgres, all hosted in the cloud (AWS), and connecting to analytics and data science tooling such as Qlik, Power BI, Dataiku and Posit.

As Business Self-Service Data Platform Lead you will lead a small team providing these services, setting them up to provide consultancy to Business Self-Service users as well as critical platform support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to user support calls;
  • Triage incidents and performance issues;
  • Ensure operational effectiveness of the Platform, keeping it stable, performant, and secure, and protecting our data.

Requirements:

  • Experience in using and/or supporting data tools such as Snowflake, DBT, Informatica, Postgres, Qlik and Posit, preferably in a cloud environment;
  • An open and agile mindset, working collaboratively across teams, and continuously striving for excellence;
  • The ability to successfully engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive business adoption, capability, and outcomes.
