We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Coordinator to join our Small Sewage Pumping team at Thames Water. This is an exciting opportunity for a career-minded individual who is passionate about technical coordination and management.

This role will involve a mix of fieldwork and office-based tasks covering the home counties and Thames Valley Area. You will be accountable for the management of our Pumping Stations, overseeing materials, permits, resources, and services for all complex jobs for planned and reactive work across maintenance and operations structure.

This position comes with a car allowance, making it an attractive option for those who value flexibility and independence in their work-life balance.

  • Investigate and review the performance of our Sewage Pumping Stations to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate asset failures and manage resources to return them to service quickly and safely.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to deliver solutions to problems on our sites.
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide technical advice and expertise on equipment such as pumps, valves, pipework, lifting equipment, ultrasonic level sensors, flowmeters, control panels, and LV electrical equipment.
Requirements
  • NVQ level or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Strong IT literacy skills, particularly in SAP software systems.
  • Excellent business awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.

  • Competitive salary range £36,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
