Job Summary:

Nurse Seekers is proud to be recruiting a qualified Nursery Practitioner on behalf of a private nursery based in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children in the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep a proper record of achievement files on key children for parents.
  • Operate a program of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff.
  • Work with parents of children with special needs to provide full integration in the nursery.
  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
  • Be involved in out-of-working-hours activities, such as training and monthly staff meetings.
  • Be flexible within working practices of the nursery and prepared to help where needed.
  • Operate the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the bedding and nappy changing area and food surface areas.
  • Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery's philosophy is fulfilled.
  • Record accidents in the accident book and ensure the Manager has initialled the report before the parent receives it.
  • Develop your role within the team, especially as a key worker.

Requirements:

  • Cache/NVQ Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Passion, creativity, joy, flexibility, reliability, commitment, and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work full-time hours.
