Commercial Lawyer Opportunity at Matalan

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our Legal Team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, providing pragmatic legal advice and support to business colleagues, and ensuring that the Head of Legal Services is kept up-to-date on all matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to business colleagues in the negotiation and completion of commercial contracts;
  • Advise the business on the interpretation of commercial contracts;
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant law;
  • Provide general legal advice on day-to-day operational matters;
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law, ideally gained within a retail environment;
  • Able to handle own workload with minimal supervision;
