Taxation Specialist

Curtis Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our client's team in NW London. As a key member of the accountancy firm, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the tax department.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a dedicated tax role within UK accountancy practice
• Good all-round knowledge of UK taxation
• Excellent communication skills

You will be responsible for planning compliance work, reviewing and dealing with tax compliance work, and assisting partners in marketing and developing the tax function.

As Tax Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Planning and controlling work schedules of tax staff
2. Reviewing and dealing with tax compliance work
3. Dealing with complex tax and tax planning issues for clients
4. Working with partners to ensure adequate fee recoveries
5. Supervising and training junior team members

You will also assist partners in recruitment and appraisal processes and work with the Training Partner to maintain up-to-date technical and soft skills training.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Ideal CTA qualification
• Good general IT skills; MS Office and tax software
