Production Operative

M4 Recruitment - Swindon Division is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in a manufacturing company based in the Swindon area.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Specialist Laser Cutting Machines: Utilize advanced laser cutting technology to produce high-quality products, adhering to strict quality and output standards.
- Quality Monitoring and Control: Implement quality monitoring processes to ensure the highest standards possible, providing feedback to supervisors as needed.
- Waste and Non-Compliant Product Management: Monitor and record all waste and non-compliant product occurrences, requesting re-prints and replacement materials when necessary.
- ERP System Management: Scan all jobs onto the ERP system in real-time, ensuring up-to-date information on all production processes.
- Health and Safety: Prioritize health and safety in all areas of operation, adhering to risk assessments, safe systems of work, and training.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform machine maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, and fault-finding, working in conjunction with the technical department when required.
- Teamwork and Cooperation: Display excellent levels of teamwork and cooperation when working with colleagues in other departments or areas of production.
- Log Sheet Maintenance: Maintain log sheets of filter change activity and gas changeovers.
- Work Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times, ensuring high levels of housekeeping and suggesting improvements wherever possible.
- Protocols and Procedures: Follow all required protocols when operating the lasers, such as start-up and shut-down procedures, and accurately ID stamping all finished products.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stocks of materials and ensure that correct specifications are used for each product.
- Stock Takes: Participate in and ensure complete accuracy of periodic stock takes whenever required.
Requirements: Your own transport will be required due to the location of the company, unless you live locally.
