Job Title: Head of Radiography Services

Leeds Teaching Hospitals is seeking an experienced radiographer to lead the radiography department, providing professional leadership and management of radiographers, sonographers, and clinical technologists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional leadership and management of the radiography department

• Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and service delivery

• Collaborate with clinical directors and general managers to lead improvement in imaging and service delivery

• Ensure all imaging services are delivered to agreed quality standards, providing patient-focused services and promoting clinical excellence

Requirements:

• BSc in diagnostic radiography or equivalent qualification

• Significant experience of middle/senior management level in a complex organisation

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, diplomacy, and ability to work under pressure

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and enthuse staff

• Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to ongoing training

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced radiographer to lead the radiography department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional leadership and management of the department, developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care and service delivery, and collaborating with clinical directors and general managers to lead improvement in imaging and service delivery.
