About the Role

The Occupational Health Advisor role at MCL Medics is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised individual to join our expanding team, supporting our clients to achieve their statutory duties to protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of people at work. We're looking for a reliable and motivated professional with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills who is committed to ongoing professional development, has the ability to analyse & interpret data, and problem-solving skills to meet the needs of the business and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Workplace assessments to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  2. Reporting on health risks and providing recommendations for improvement
  3. Routine health surveillance to monitor the health of employees and identify potential issues
  4. Pre-placement screenings to ensure new employees are fit for work
  5. Fitness-for-work assessments to determine an employee's ability to perform their job safely
  6. Undertaking case management, both in person and remotely, producing quality reports for the clients
  7. Managing Health Records ensuring safe storage, security and confidentiality of OH records, at all times complying with relevant legislation and good practice
  8. Work to strict protocols & procedures set by MCL Medics and in line with SEQOHS accreditation
What We're Looking For
  1. RGN/RMN with prior Occupational Health Advisor experience
  2. Current NMC Registration
  3. Desirable: Occupational Health qualification; relevant experience considered
  4. Proactive, friendly, and professional individuals with workload management confidence
  5. Contribute towards safe working practices across the OH Delivery team
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Ability to contribute ideas and suggestions for improvements in order to achieve more effective working practices
  8. Good understanding of Microsoft packages, and comfortable in use of OH software
