About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hardworking Cook to join our friendly team at Kenwood Nursing Home, which is based in North London.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals, maintaining food hygiene standards, and ensuring a high level of service for all meal times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare special diet meals in accordance with instructions from care staff.
  • Ensure a high level of service for all meal times.
  • Complete all documentation relating to HACCP.
  • Report any defects to equipment to the Home Manager.
  • Ensure good quality and portion control.
  • Assist Head Chef with four-weekly menu planning.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties to meet service delivery for our residents.
Requirements
  • Previous cooking experience.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, showing creativity and passion for the work.
  • Ability to follow and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
