We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis, working approximately 15 hours per week. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes, to promote independence and well-being.
- Escort and assist individuals in and around the service, at external events, and appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Support our Person-Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence and helping individuals achieve their aspirations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and creativity in working with individuals and their families, adapting to changing needs and circumstances.
- Personal care experience is desirable but not essential; we offer an excellent training and induction program for all new staff members.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours and willingness to participate in an on-call rota where required.
