Upholsterer Specialist

Major Recruitment is seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our client's team in Alfreton on a Temp-Perm basis.

Key Information:

• Shift Pattern: Monday-Wednesday 2:00pm - 12:20am, Thursday 2:00pm - 11:05pm
• Hourly Rate: £16-£19

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality upholstered products in line with specifications.

• Prepare frames for upholstery, adding various foams and fibers.
• Use a range of springs to prepare products for upholstery.
• Fill cushions using different fillings to complete the product.
• Work with a variety of materials, including fabrics and leathers, to upholster products.
• Cut materials as needed for upholstery.
• Ensure proper tension and straining methods when positioning materials.
• Use a range of trimmings and finishings, including buttons, facings, piping, and decorative studs.
• Operate compressed air equipment like staple guns and hand tools.
• Create different types of pleats, including scroll arm, envelope, and puckering.
• Work as part of a team on piecework production to ensure smooth manufacturing.
• Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety Policies.
• Keep your workspace tidy and free of obstructions.
• Assist in other areas of manufacturing as required.
