About the Role

Xcede UK is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a highly scalable and secure cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy a highly available and secure cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure workloads running on the private cloud platform are optimized for performance and efficiency
  • Implement continuous improvements to the platform to meet the growing demands of the business
  • Collaborate with the upstream OpenStack open source project to contribute to the development of the platform
  • Perform diagnostics and tuning to ensure seamless scale-out without impacting services
  • Security hardening of the platforms and supporting systems
  • Liaise with users to gather feedback, provide support, and work on feature requests
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with OpenStack production environments, CEPH Storage clusters, Ansible, Terraform, and Python
  • Knowledge of network protocols, GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Server hardware like BMC or Redfish
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
