We are a global medical device company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to healthcare challenges. We are seeking an experienced Facilities Lead or Facilities Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Job Summary

This role involves overseeing all aspects of facilities management, including asset maintenance, repair, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects, building and maintaining an asset health register, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee all aspects of facilities management, including asset maintenance and repair, to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Build and maintain an accurate asset health register to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
  3. Lead projects within the facilities department to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Maintain compliance with PM and statutory works, ensuring all necessary regulations are met.
  5. Coordinate day-to-day reactive breakdowns to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  6. Manage hard and soft service contract services to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
  7. Contribute to the development and delivery of our ESG roadmap, aligning with business objectives to reduce carbon emissions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A time-served engineer or HNC/HND-qualified engineer with considerable experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of control systems, programming, and technical fault-finding is essential, as well as mechanical/electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Previous experience in improvement projects and leading teams is highly desirable, as well as experience in regulated maintenance environments.
  • Management experience within a maintenance framework would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in PC programs such as Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), statistical tools like Minitab or Jump, and project management software (Microsoft Project).
  • Self-motivation, flexibility, and strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential.
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
